So Here’s What Happened: Monday Night Hubba Hubba Revue 2/23/15

Dashed over to DNA Lounge and was lucky enough to snag a front row seat for the action at a very special Monday night Hubba Hubba Revue! The theme for the night was Miss Honey Penny’s Mystery Date and we were treated to an incredible lineup of some of the Bay Area’s most thrilling talents, each performing incognito with special mystery date stage names! The start studded roster included:

The dazzling Bunny Pistol (as Miss Dirty Sanchez) who was a vision of vintage burlesque glamour, her sultry emerald panel skirt and seductive moves transported us back to the days of swinging 60s North Beach! That famous Cupid’s arrow smile was set off by a certain…embellishment above her upper lip as suggested by her stage name for the evening, which added a note of hilarity to her mesmerizing performance!

The delectable Kitty Von Quim (as Glama Goldmine), who was flawless from the top of her picture perfect coif to the tips of her glittering pink heels! She dominated the stage in an incredible fuchsia sequined gown which made it appear as if she’d been completely covered in precious rubies before she deftly removed her covering and stood before us in her full glory, her fluttering lashes and doe eyes putting us all under her spell!

Our very own seductive mastermind, the sexy visionary known as Laika Fox (as David Coppafeel) had us all going wild with her performance to Weird Al’s Handy, using accoutrements like hammers and caulking guns to great effect! Her unique blend of humor and sex appeal was positively intoxicating, she somehow makes a blond mustache and white tank top look sexier than lingerie!

The mesmerizing Revolva (as O’Labia Newton John) raised our temperatures and sent me into an absolute frenzy with her dexterity and showmanship, performing thrilling splits and one handed somersaults (the key to my heart!) while skillfully manipulating multiple iridescent hoops in the air with the greatest of ease, all with a lovely serene smile (and the traditional 80’s thong leotard to boot)!

The ravishing Maggie Motorboat (as Chicken Tittle) showed us a whole new side of herself with her performance! We’ve seen her grace the stage with classic burlesque performances of both the group and solo variety, and we’ve seen her skills as stage kitten and Hooray girl, but it was a special treat to see her display her humorous side in a giant yellow chicken suit and mask! Her gift for comedy with her strong stage presence and glamorous presentation is a marvelous combination indeed!

The dynamic duo of Miss Balla Fire and Cyanide Cyn (as Boys n Berry and Tomatillo, respectively) delivered a little cloak and dagger action with a sizzling duet to the tune to Hall and Oate’s Private Eye (complete with percussive slaps to the posterior) as they stripped off their trench coats and dark glasses to reveal the glitter drenched goddesses beneath!

The exquisite Rizzo Rogue (as Pat Leotard) had me captivated with her sultry Olympic style ribbon dance, her sparkling bodysuit teasing and tantalizing us with glimpses of her lovely form before she stripped it all off to reveal the full glorious display and had us howling for more! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone remove leg warmers in such a seductive fashion before! *swoon*

The incomparable Lady Satan (as Goldie Showers) made an eagerly awaited return appearance with her hilariously sexy lapdance routine to Debra by Beck, which never fails to bring the house down! I have such fond memories of being on the receiving end of this performance onstage at my birthday party last year (one of the best nights of my life!) and this time the lucky recipient was Miss Honey Penny herself! I got to play the eponymous sister from the song much to my delight! When Lady Satan casts her eyes upon me from the stage, it always makes my heart skip a beat!

What a show! Many thanks to the amazing Miss Honey Penny who not only put together an absolutely stellar lineup and had us all howling with laughter at her hilarious remarks, but also looked absolutely stunning in a shimmering gold and copper caftan and then a silver metallic jumpsuit (with matching bra and platform heels)! Thanks as always to our fabulous host Kingfish (the onstage banter between him and Miss Honey Penny was a thing of beauty to behold) and our lovely Hooray girl Maggie Motorboat (pulling double duty)! And thanks to everyone else who helped put together another Monday night of sexy entertainment! This is about the time I would announce nominees for Quote of the Night, but it was a veritable fusillade of quips and witty rejoinders, choosing between them is impossible and would take up a whole other page. Hope to see you all at the next show!
